The Florida State Fiddlers Association is pleased to provide an exciting opportunity for Tallahassee area youth, The Tallahassee Youth Jam! We will continue to offer workshops and jams, focused on learning the traditional music of our region, for young people (under 18) in Tallahassee. The classes will focus on traditional bluegrass, old time, and Celtic music and will be taught mostly by ear. The workshops will be led by local artists known for their teaching and artistry and each class will be followed by a jam session which will be open to family members or friends that want to join in. The classes will be inclusive and accessible for all who wish to participate. These workshops will be free offerings, thanks to support from the City of Tallahassee, Leon County and COCA.
